About Jayden
I’m Jayden Mendivil — a creative director/filmmaker from El Paso, TX.
I build cinematic visuals around emotion, movement, and honest moments.
I work with brands, athletes, and creators who care about the craft and the result.
Where it all Started
I started at twelve with a small drone my grandpa gave me. That turned into curiosity, then into a habit, and eventually into direction.
Since then I’ve moved from quick edits to full short films and branded pieces — learning by doing, traveling, and pushing what a small team (or one person) can pull off with intention.
Creative Direction
My work lives where emotion, design, and movement meet.
I care about making visuals that feel lived-in — cinematic, but still human.
Whether I’m filming an athlete in motion or building a story from a quiet moment, I focus on honesty first and visuals second.
The goal isn’t to make things look perfect — it’s to make them feel true.
Athlete DNA
I’ve always balanced filmmaking with track and field — two worlds that demand focus, repetition, and control.
As a decathlete and nationally ranked javelin thrower in my age group, I’ve learned how to stay composed under pressure, adapt when things don’t go as planned, and keep showing up until the form feels right.
That same mindset drives how I approach creative work. Whether it’s building a story, designing a shot, or spending hours refining an edit, I treat every project like training — disciplined, intentional, and built on consistency.
